Refund Policy

How refunds work for BookBlurb subscriptions and credit packs.
1. 7-day money-back guarantee
- We offer a 7-day money-back guarantee on the first payment of any new paid subscription (Pro monthly, Author annual, Publisher monthly). Contact transaction@bookblurb.org within 7 calendar days of the first payment for a full refund to the original payment method. This guarantee does not apply to renewals.
- Refunds are typically processed within 5–10 business days, depending on the bank, card issuer, and payment processor.
2. Payment processor and Merchant of Record
- Payments are processed by Creem — Armitage Labs OÜ, registry code 16977866, Rotermanni 14, Tallinn 10111, Estonia. Creem is the Merchant of Record and legal seller of purchases; it handles billing data, VAT / sales tax, invoices, and chargeback defence.
3. What is refundable
- The first payment of a new paid subscription within 7 days; accidental duplicate charges with evidence; operator-confirmed billing errors; and an Author annual plan's unused portion calculated pro-rata, subject to the unused-credit clawback in section 6.
4. What is not refundable
- Requests received more than 7 days after the first payment; renewal charges; already-consumed credits; Credit Packs after any credit has been consumed; charges caused by Terms violations; taxes or third-party fees collected by the processor; and anonymous runs with no monetary value.
5. How to request and cancellation
- Email transaction@bookblurb.org with your account email, invoice or charge ID, and an optional reason. You can also use /settings → Billing → Request refund. We confirm receipt within 24 business hours and resolve straightforward requests within 5 business days.
- Cancel via /settings → Billing → Manage subscription or email support@bookblurb.org. Cancellation stops the next billing cycle and does not itself trigger a refund.
6. Author annual plan — pro-rata and clawback
- For a mid-term Author cancellation, the refund equals the pro-rated unused period, rounded to the nearest month, minus the USD value of consumed credits at the Author rate of $0.0413 per credit. Unused Author credits are clawed back first. If the result is zero or negative, no monetary refund is issued.
7. Chargebacks and disputes
- Contact support first so we can resolve billing issues. We may suspend or terminate accounts involved in fraudulent chargebacks, repeated subscribe-and-refund cycles, or bad-faith disputes. If a chargeback is opened, we respond through Creem's dispute system with the receipt, credit-consumption log, and guarantee record.
8. EU / UK consumer rights
- Mandatory EU / UK / EEA consumer-protection rules apply. Nothing here limits statutory withdrawal rights under the EU Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU or equivalent UK rules. Where digital content has been fully delivered after express consent to early performance, statutory withdrawal may be waived; the 7-day guarantee remains available.
